Our base rate of income tax is 38%, my "council tax" is 500 quid, our parking permits are 300 quid a year, we pay 700 quid a year in car tax and similar in car insurance and VAT is going up from 19% to 20% in 2008.

Digital telly's cheap though. And cheese.
