Optimism Alert!

When we lost yesterday I didn't feel as gutted as I usually do. Even the usual chorus of wingeing in the city stand when we went behind didn't crumble my resolve.

I thought we played really well and I think there is a lot to look forward to. Everyone seemed to do their job. I know the defence were caught napping with the conceded goals, but they looked a lot better than usual. Given the performances of recent times I think there are vast improvements.

We also have to remember that we are not at full strength. We lack a bit of creativity up front but I think when we are back to full strength it WILL be better in this department.

The only criticisms I have is we left it a bit late to bring Hucks on, and a lot of chances went begging (I know Doc hit the woodwork but it could have easily been someone else there). But I'm sure it will come good when we get back to full strength.

Sorry if you think I am a blind optimist, perhaps I am (and usually I am not!), but I can see something good happening.
