I'd rather Grant spent whatever money we have left when we actually needed it.

Right now we don't. And while we need a central defender or two, Shacks and Doc are not doing as bad a job as the old bandwagon-jumpers think they are. They are actually performing better than last year and, when Brellier gets into it and starts protecting the back for as they say he does, they will have the chance to improve their game. So far, with even half-arsed or nervous performances, we have the results.
