I kept throwing stones at his head till he collapsed but i didn't mean to kill him, honest.

If you throw enough stones at someone you'll kill them, therefore you know the potential consequences of your actions, yet carried on.
That, for me, should be murder.
At some point they must of thought, we could seriously injure or kill this guy if we don't stop, yet they didn't.
