Something they "forgot" to mention: the bloke in Rome worked for the mobile industry and because of that he is being vilified for saying WiFi poses no risk.
However, there is only one viable threat to the mobile telecoms industry - GSM and UMTS networks are extremely expensive to maintain and the licenses especially for UMTS were so massive that they HAVE to stick with the technology in order to recoup some of the losses. However, WiFi, when they achieve complete coverage and seamless handover, CAN kill those Telcos.
So, who is protecting the Telecoms industry ? Bloke in Rome ? I think not. The BBC ? Much more likely.
