We've got the square root of f**k all selective state education now. What that has shown, pretty conclusively, is that non-selective schools go on being pretty poor, not that they all get miraculously raised up.

It actually makes me a bit cross at the waste of talent. Bright kids who have to endure rubbish education because of this failed and outdated ideology. Grrr.
