Derby vs Southampton Last Night

Cracking game, shame about the result.

Southampton had major injury worries, not least missing Gareth Bale, but, despite that, the quality they still had "only" on the bench, any of these three -Rasiak, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Idiakez-would happily take any, indeed, all of those three and as first choice!Some good players on display though-Southampton seem to have loads, as well as Bale and the other three just mentioned, also Saganowski*, Skacel*, Baird, Belmadi, Surman-quality throughout. Of course, ref. *, these are the sort of 'Johnny Foreigner' types that Worthy wouldn't consider, but they seem prrof enough to me if you look them up and do the job properly, you can get decent players from Europe at a good price and wages.

If Southampton maintain and strengthen their squad, I can see them as serious Championship contenders next season-might even have a punt on them now, odds anyone?
