I think Donkerty's one year deal was a good move.

He'll have been gutted he hasn't got a longer deal, as despite looking like a 37 year-old with a 43 year-old's hair cut, he is still only a fairly young lad.

And he does, at times, actually resemble a footballer. Round-ball game, I mean. Not recently, admittedly, and not for long spells when it does come together, but enough I reckon, to make a decent squad player, if not 1st team player, with suffificent correct motivation. And if the one-year deal has been pitched as "shape up or f**k off", that might well be the required motivator.
