They don't do long term. They wouldn't want to take the risk of relegation. They wouldn't want to spend their revenues (which offer profit right now) in the hope of getting more revenues next year (but with the risk of losing the lot). They want cash now, bosh, thank you, on to the next deal. Especially when football clubs are better known as cash consumers rather than cash generators.
Anyway, I've just had some high up Piswich bod on the phone to me telling me it's all ballix but that there's a three man consortium (two current board members and a mystery third) getting ready to make a takeover bid. Which if true would be a much healthier option for the binners, sadly.
