Munby said that we would have had to sell players to cover the 2 million that we would have lost next season. Why 2m? Surely with no parachute payment it would have been more? Maybe this is a PR stunt by the board to basically say we still have no money to buy new players, but at least we dont have to sell. Therefore telling people earnie is not for sale or at least if he is they will have to pay big. As has also been said we dont want people knowing we have money to spend, so they increase transfers fees
