Player of the season voting

Don't they add up all the monthly votes as well? So that would explain why Shackell came third - he has played in virtually every game and done well most months. BEcause if it was just based on votes at the end of the season I can't think anyone would look back over the season and think he's been our best player. Third or fourth best probably.
