Player of the season presentation

Seems a shame that it is presented at approx 14;30 (well has been for several years now) when alot of people have still to enter the ground or are still in the bars
Why not directly after the game before the thank you lap by the team then the winner can get the applause he deserves* while displaying the trophy

*ginger pele being the exception
