Whats the difference between a moment's silence and a minutes's silence?

AS a mark of respect, there will be a moment's silence before City's game with Southampton in memory of former Saints' manager and player Alan Ball.

Mr Ball, 61, died of a suspected heart attack at his home on Tuesday night.

In addition to the moment's silence, both sets of players will also wear black armbands in respect of the World Cup winner.
