Doesn't show how advanced their maths teaching is - simply how advanced their questions are. I learned enough maths at school to have been able to answer both at the age of 18:

I was crap so probably would have got it wrong, but I certainly was taught enough to deal with these questions.

Or have they dumbed down A levels now ?
