It's not really that though

It's easy to get all high and mighty and shocked at something that appears to be so random. You can probe and look for causes comfortable in the thought that at the end of the day, it can be put down to some nutter and breathe a sigh of relief that it wasn't you and yours.

Best, though, to avoid starvation in Africa or wars in Iraq because that might lead to questions (or, worse, answers) about your leaders and their motives. At least until too many body bags start coming home too frequently.
