more guns. If everyone is able to defend themselves properly, they reckon, this wouldn't happen so much, and when it did happen, the maniac would only be able to cap a couple of fatties before some other fatty capped him back.

Surely a grown-up society has to accept this sort of thing as a consequence of the Right to Arm Bears? Every society has it's homicidal nutters, so it's only logical reasoning that in a society with a) teenagers, b)homicidal nutters who might also be teenagers and c) s**t loads of guns, this sort of thing is inevitable.
