I'm not sure what "graduation" from the academy means in real terms

I guess it means they have completed thier three (is it three?) years at the academy without being kicked out. Pretty sure it doesn't mean that they get automatically moved into the CIty set-up in any other way. I guess they are then free to move to whatever club cares to offer them a contract, with "Product of NCFC Academy" on thier CV.
