I'd be more willing to listen to him if he was willing to express realistic views. Take his stance on aviation policy. He's the kind of person who would say "we should stop flying" - or " we should cut back by 90% of all flights - tax people out of it", completely ignoring the fact that yes, while aviation does contribute to climate change, it also offers an invaluable social benefit - a cheap way to travel abroad and do business. The social benefit of foreign travel outweighs the marginal cost arising from climate change of each flight for a hell of a lot flights. Granted, there will be a point where the marginal cost of a flight (caused by the cumulative effects of CO2 emissions) outweighs the benefit, but that isn't zero, or close to zero, as Manibot would have you believe. That's why I have no time for him or his views.
