as Snakey says you are correct

and it's certainly not in the same league as Full Metal or Apocolypse, and Three Kings was more of a comedy than action flick

i assumed that the "this is my rifle, many like it" speech was something said by US Marines in real life and as Full Metal and Jarhead both follow the training marines go through it seemed fair enough to include it in Jarhead

am sometimes entirely wrong in my assumptions though...
