Tips for fm07 for those that may want them/need them...

First off hucks does not fit into many affective formations so off-load him for around the 2m mark, same with earnie, his first touch lets him down in the box and you can pick up 3.5m for him. docs is far too slow and when you can get 1.5m in for him,its good business. and drury is surplus to requirements and you can pick up 1m for him.with the 8m you make from those 4 sales,included with the 2m you start with it gives you a good budget of 10m to build a good squad with. i got in vaughan from crew for 800k,brian mcbride from fulham for a bargain 50k (this man will bag you 20 plus goals),stephen warnock from liverpool for 2.5m,hayden mullins from west ham (unwanted by them) can be picked up on the cheap, depending on what extras you offer them, i got him for 1.5m plus ryan jarvis. with doc gone you need a decent centre half, jonathon fortune from charlton can be picked up for 2.5m and is an absolute bargain. you will also need to replace earnie and no1 is better or cheaper than dave nugent, right at the start of the game you can bet him for 1.8m. so with those signings in the bag line up as follows:

play a fast and direct style of football on the counter attack with a defensive line with an offside trap deployed and a mixed pressing style with the midfield and attack. dont let the defence press to much as this leaves gaps in your backline. have brin mcbride's attacking level slightly more defensive than nugents with instructions to hold up and play through balls. have a target man set up with nugent as the target man and instruct the team to play balls for the target man to "run onto". this will mean mcbride will hold up the ball while nugent makes good forwards runs to beat the offside trap (which he loves to do). have etuho making forward runs to arrive late in the box will give you at least 10 goals from him gettin on the end of the crosses from vaughan and croft.

with that formation and team i just won promotion to the prem winning the league by 18 points got to the quarter finals of the league cup and the final of the f.a cup against man u, were i lost 2-1. not bad eh?
