That appointing another rookie manager in Wilshere when JHT had hardly much experience to begin with, would be putting a big target on his back if another season gets wasted.
If he appoints someone like Martin, Cooper or O'Neil then he can at least point to a track record and say they looked good on paper if it goes pear shaped.
He has no safety net if he appoints Wilshere and it goes wrong. Would be a gutsy move.
