instructions about a potential move, indicating interest without sounding desperate or expectant in order to maintain leverage on personal terms.

Am I right in thinking just because we’ve agreed a purchase price, if another club were to come in matching or exceeding that amount, and with better wages / in the premier league that he could still choose the other offer?

That’s what he sounds like he and his agent are very aware of.
