Johannes Hoff Thorup is speaking to media at the Avant Training Centre ahead of tomorrow's game against Oxford United.

JHT on Lewis Dobbin: “It’s not good and what we expected. I think he’s played his last minutes this JHT on Lewis Dobbin. He is a player who is very explosive and we need to take a little care of. There is a risk when that’s part of their game. Actually against Stoke it was the other calf, but we know he’s suffered with his achilles as a football player.”

JHT on Lewis Dobbin: “Yeah of course. We will have to wait and see. He can see he was developing and fast with us in 10 games maximum, which is really positive. We will sit down with him and his agents to go through any opportunities to stay with us.”

JHT on Ben Chrisene: "His season is over with injury. So unfortunate for him again and us. We struggle a little bit with players available. It’s an ankle issue after the first tackle that should have been a red (card).”

*Lucien Mahovo is expected back after the international break*

JHT on Kennie McLean: “He is back in training and will be in the squad tomorrow.”

JHT on Matej Jurasek: “We need to build him up to the Championship intensity. We expect him back after the international break.”

JHT on Amankwah Forson: “He has been on his own with a physio this week. There is a chance he is in the squad on Tuesday.”

JHT on George Long: “He will be cleared (concussion protocol) to train again on Monday. He will be back available for the squad on Tuesday.”

JHT on Borja Sainz: “I think he’s in a much better place than just before the suspension. His performances have been better than some where he’s scored goals. Of course, we need goals and his threat again. His performance against Hull and Stoke were really good.”

JHT on Ante Crnac: “It has not been easy for him when we struggled with all those injuries. He took responsibility to be that guy up front for us. He’s been doing well and I’m happy on his behalf. That finish (against Blackburn) was fantastic.”

JHT on the squad: "I think I remember everything else. I can talk on it tomorrow.”

JHT on Blackburn Rovers: “There are moments in game where we switch off collectively and individually. We addressed that in the meeting after. It had to be a win after scoring that late.”

JHT: “When that young group experiences conceding late goals and equalisers, they need to learn from it. Hopefully, starting tomorrow.”

JHT on Oxford United: “It feels like five years ago and a completely different season. In many ways I’m looking forward to it and we need to do our best. Hopefully, it will be a good day and result for us. We didn’t try to find too many highlights from that game.”

JHT on Gary Rowett: “They are a little bit more direct. We could also see against Blackburn, they could get in behind with those deep long passes.”

JHT: “We changed a little bit too much from game-to-game against Preston and Derby. I don’t think we need to change our structure too much. We’ve had some good performances in the last three games or so.”
