As unpalatable as you probably consider it that is probably the best Ukraine can hope for.

The current attritional warfare is only going to result in further gains by Russia. With the US pulling its support and Europe divided and far too late in waking up to its obligations other options are few. May not seem fair but war (and life) seldom is.
