The time it happened for me really helped to set me up

In retrospect one of the best things to have happened, though I took a voluntary route (I was planning a move anyway, so this just meant I left with more money in my pocket, which has proved crucial these last years as my life situation has changed a lot).

I don't know how old you are but it's a great opportunity to re-evaluate and consider how much more you need to earn to be able to have a reasonable retirement. That might be less than you think, so you could go part time/take a lower-paid, less stressy job; or do more of the same somewhere else but in the knowledge that you only really have to do it for X time and the rest is optional.
