In our place when we've had batches of redunancies and outsourcing - has happened a few times sadly

There's been people who have joined from different places over the years having been TUPE'd over and it was accepted by my employer that if they let them go they would get certain terms (which were well above statutory minimum).

Whether these terms were in the contract or done as others had received these terms - not sure about that
