iirc i have moved house 16 times in my adult life. lot of it married quarter moves tbf but still an absolute ballache. must have been grim for the kids upping sticks and moving away from school and their mates every two years or even less a few times, often to different countries. sometimes it would take 6-8 weeks for your belongings to catch up with you as they shipped them by sea, so all you had was a "get you in pack" of the basics; 4 plates, 4 sets of cutlery, 4 tea mugs, a dining table and 4 chairs, a two seater sofa, some iron beds with rubber mattresses, not much else really just had to get by for two months until your swag bowled up. rent a telly and that. then there's all the ballache of new school uniforms, sports gear, mail forwarding, text books, getting new utilities set up, phone lines, blah de f**king blah the list is endless. an utter f**king bulls**t life, dunno how we put up with it really.

would i do it all again though? no because i can't. would i move again? probably not but never say never, maybe got one more move in me if the right place comes along. but it'd have to be a *chefs kiss* of a house


so yeah, charlieXXI: invest in a skip every now and then and have a f**king good rake out, sod that moving house bulls**tt.

p.s. plus "stamp duty", wtf?
