but I always spend mine as soon as it's enough for a Sainsbury's voucher (£2.50). So there's basically never anything in there to nick.

If you're saving money, use something with FSCS compensation in place. None of these loyalty schemes are particularly secure.

I hope your Mum gets her points back; if and when she does, get free groceries until they all run out, or whatever, and save cash as actual cash.
