We've had a load of managers come in, survey the youth team, and broadly decide there's almost nothing worth playing regularly. There are exceptions of course (JR), but this is true isnt it?
Also, for quite some time we've had a conveyor belt of players that have gone out on loan further down the pyramid and not done much, again with a few exceptions (Bali Mumba). But most players have sunk without trace and ended up warming the bench at Stenhousemuir. Even the ones that have done well on loan have not really gone on to do anything.
Yes, we could run an operation that just plays people who are young, but I doubt it would get us anywhere. The more salient question is why we are not getting better players into and through the academy.
