Good for him. Think what you want but

He was a good servant for the club. Sat in the wings for years never being sent on loan, so just in the reserves or on the bench and the one time he did look to be taking his opportunity to start due to injuries, he got injured himself.

We all remember the end with him wanting away but he was pretty patient for a long time until that point.
