It's because of Pep's tactics

They only really work effectively if you have better players than the opposition (as a few Championship winning managers have discovered in recent seasons). Right now he doesn't, in which circumstance they are utterly s**t tactics. But they're the only tactic he has so we get this shambolic mess every week with no attempt to change anything.
