The Corinthian spirit of fair play has long since left the professional game. It's common,

if not ubiquitous to try and intimidate your opponent to put them off their game. I suspect this was Kenny's intent to get a 'dig in' against a young opponent to let him know who was in charge. He probably didn't mean to catch him in the face but the swing was just badly executed. If it had caught the player fully in the chest I suspect their wouldn't have been any retrospective action.
