Foo thoughts

I’ve watched us long enough to know there is always a crushing defeat around the corner when you least expect it but I honestly didn’t see that one coming today after the last two games and with the players coming back. Few thoughts:

1. With my positive hat on we had two goals (apparently wrongly) disallowed, a clear penalty not given and Slimane and Crnac both missed sitters so I suppose on another day it voukdbhdbe been different. I think it would have been had it gone 2-1 instead of 3 nil during that pivotal minute.

2. We have an issue with letting crosses from set pieces bounce and pinball around in our box. I think we have too many players in there. They seem to get in each others way and nobody takes ownership. So many chances to get it away. See also Luton’s second goal.

3. I think the Fischer at left back era is over.

4. One of the Kenny goes missing games today.

5. Duffy never comes across to prevent shots going in when he is the covering defender. That third goal just painful I’m with that and Gunn inexplicably beaten from there.

6. We never quite got to grips with the fact there was less time and space out there that we are used to.

7. Don’t understand why Onel didn’t come on much earlier.

8. Ref and linos all horrific. Gave them everything. Allowed time wasting and general sh.*thousing, Why no free kick for the foul on Gunn before their second? Silly push from Sainz though.

9. I understand why he did it but moving Marcondes wide didn’t work. Slimane should have been sacrificed from the starting line up to keep him more cereal.

10. I know I shouldn’t be surprised as I’ve been there so many times but that concourse in the away end is just fundamentally unsafe/not fit for purpose.
