The track record of publicly owned infrastructure is genuinely terrible. All the "commercial" firms that were state owned made bad products and lost money.

Why people think state ownership is the answer is beyond me. It's misty eyed bollocks for a past that never existed, driven by unions who were (in the main) the only winners.

Now it would be worse, as we literally dont have a pot to piss in, and we're massively in debt.
