but they've blown £100m+ on a strong championship squad and are having a go with it in the Prem. Of their players, Davies and Delap are Prem quality and Hutchinson can have an effective game at that level from time to time.
As a strategy it makes all kinds of sense, follow our lead and yo-yo a few times but hope to do better than we did when we managed survival if they ever do.
As a fan experience they're only just realising what it's actually like following a Prem team who isn't one of the big boys, after the excitement of the last two seasons it will be hitting them. Which makes me very sad.
At least if we do go up we know what it's all about because we've been up and down so often in the last couple of decades, this is their first taste in over twenty years and it's all changed since last time they were there. A scum fan younger than mid-thirties won't ever have seen it before. Sucks to be them, I guess.
