There is an argument, cash in while he's on a hot streak

He's an excellent player at champs level, he still has a hot head on him and idk if he will thrive or not in a bigger league. I'd like to think he will, and with us; but it's just as possible he won't.

We're talking to him about contract extension and that would be my favoured route: bung him some cash for a longer contract now so when we sell him in the summer we have more leverage.

But I can also see the argument that while he's a really hot property we'll get the best price, especially in the January market which is inflated anyway.

Obviously what I want to happen is that Gala f**ks off and he stays with us, but if we don't go up, and I don't think we will this term, that feels quite unlikely.
