But what it does give us is a bit of backup and competition for Sarge - if he’s not

performing then we now know we have another option other than a 35 year old throwback to play there, as long as we have somebody decent to play on the right. Nobody has really grabbed that yet - Crnac, Gordon, Schwartau and Marcondes have all had a go and done OK but probably Onel has looked best but only as a sub.

Barnes has his uses especially toward the end of games when we may need some s**thousery and extra height and beef when defending set pieces etc, but Crnac can offer the pressing and movement that we prefer during the majority of the game that Barnes can not.
