I hope it does widen in scope

the 6 months limit seems arbitrary.

If I know I've got an incurable degenerative disease at age 70 whilst I'm compos mentis, why should I be unable to make the decision that I don't want years of declining health and possibly losing my marbles before I can elect to bang out?
