The reason that I didn't ignore it is that we don't need politics / culture war stuff here

There are lots of places that can be discussed.

It drives people away and divides the community. Clearly there will be discussion of *big* issues, but this should mostly be a place for footy, lunch posts and lists of footballers who sound like musical instruments.
