I remember a local tour guide telling me a bit about the history of PoW rd

It was due to go through a massive redevelopment in Victorian times in order to show us off up a bit. It started off well (that bit at the top there) but they managed to spaff all of their budget before they got halfway down.

Apparently the then PoW visited Norwich around then and was a bit up the arse when the first thing he saw, after the train station, was derelict building sites.
