who've paid big £££ to show a competition (CL) with the best teams and players in. They'll want City in (this is why big teams never really get punished)

Easy cop out is to strip old titles from them, because this has absolutely ZERO impact on any competitions going forward (which expulsions/relegations/points deductions etc would), and everyone can just carry on as though nothing has happened.
