Travelled Round the MidWest & West Coast fir 3 weeks last year

Virtually the only thing I hated was the tipping culture over there. On all the card machines was a button requiring you to choose a 15% 20% or 25% tip!

Out of hand as you say. Much rather pay cash and then the level of tip is - slightly - more at your discretion.

Doing the Eastern Side next year where I gather it is even worse.
