Don't get me wrong, this is clearly a very sad incident. It just seems, to me, rather OTT for the BBC News to consider it something that justifies the level of attention they are giving it.

Not that it matters, of course. I was just curious as to whether my thoughts were aligned with or out of kilter to those of others.
