That our existing squad couldn’t do 4-3-3 was/is not new information

I was expecting a much more thorough clear out/refresh this summer. We still might see one I guess. But the new philosophy as described will not be delivered by a squad substantially the same as the one which finished last term. That squad should play 4-2-3-1 or even 4-4-f**king. But we don’t want to do that which is grand except the skills required to deliver 4-3-3 properly are different in virtually all positions.
