Non-lge fans are often football refugees

The semi-pro club I watch has ST holders from Arsenal, Tott, Palace, Watford & Norwich, also fans from WBA, Citeh & others.

Meanwhile ticket availability & cost has driven tens of thousands of casual fans to non-league. In all major metropolitan areas there will be big-club fans watching a non-league team.

On a dark winter's day - with only limited seating & virtually no roofing - it is a guarantee that many fans would be tempted to watch their First team on telly instead.
