the disconnect

between what many (most?) fans think re Kane, and what Southgate says (and more importantly, has so far done) is pretty glaring. When I watch England I sometimes feel like I'm in some sort of Truman Show in which Kane is obviously complete s**t, but it's an experiment to see whether I can be made to think he's actually completely brilliant. When the "competition" ends I'll be led gibbering into a television studio somewhere & questioned by a panel of psychologists and that nice actor who plays gary lineker
