I certainly wasn’t anti-Bruce in the eighties, I had Tunnel of Love, that was about it.

I wasn’t that keen on the big hitters and didn’t really pay much attention to the darker/deeper more melancholy stuff. It’s a more recent submission to going to a gig with a friend (who doesn’t really have any taste in music it would seem, other than Springsteen) that has generated this interest I now have. The concerts are rather good I think. You have to consider them for what they are, they’re not intimate sweaty mosh-arounds to new society protest songs by wide-eyed teenagers.
They’re a bunch of quite old people putting on a three hour experience.
