It’s not that he won Islington North. It’s that he won more votes for labour than Starmer did, along with a higher percentage share of the vote.

2019 = brexit election
2017= very close election between Boris mania and corbynistas

Labour have actually lost vote share in England last night compared to Corbyn. They won because people stopped voting conservatives, not because more voted labour.

Therefore, your point is nullified.
