that's plainly not true; but I do agree that if this country is ever going to be even passably half f**king sensible ever again, people should start by asking what they themselves can do to contribute to that end, rather than waiting for someone else to do it for them; if starmer could achieve that, he would have achieved a very great thing (& when he speaks about public service, I do believe he means it - he should say it often and loudly - and remember too, that is a public service to care for yourself and your family and your job and place -all of that is what makes a place prosperous and functional)
