In some ways yes, in some ways no.

It does make it much less likely that element will get enough seats to make an impact.
It could also be argued though that FPTP has disenfranchised so many voters, likely pushing some to the extremes, because so many elections (not this one) are ultimately decided by a small % of votes in those relatively few seats that tend to change hands.
